We’ve implemented energy-saving technologies throughout the hotel, including LED lighting and smart thermostats to reduce our carbon footprint. Our water management program includes low-flow fixtures, water recycling systems and regular maintenance to prevent leaks and waste. We actively minimise waste through comprehensive recycling programs, as well as reducing single-use plastics with sustainable alternatives.
Community Engagement
Our commitment to the local economy is reflected in our sourcing of food, beverages, and other products from local, sustainable suppliers where possible. We educate our staff and guests on sustainable practices, encouraging everyone to participate in our green initiatives. We engage in community projects and support local environmental organisations to promote sustainability beyond our hotel’s walls.
Responsible Neighbours
In addition to its luxury offerings, The Welbeck Hotel is committed to being a responsible neighbour, integrating sustainable practices into its operations. With BREEAM excellent green building certification, the hotel is committed to reducing its carbon footprint by using occupancy-based controls, the elimination of single-use plastics and a recycling programme including food waste which will all help the hotel in achieving Green Key accreditation.
The Welbeck Hotel is also pleased to announce its partnership with The Felix Project, London’s largest food re-distribution charity.
